About The Position

Leverage specialized knowledge of tubing extrusion processes to ensure our US production facility is producing high quality products. Involved in developing and validating new tubing products and related processes to produce the new tubing, including developing work standards, process sheets, and parameters to ensure efficient operations. Offer technical support to the production floor for new products or whenever questions arise about product specifications, measurement methods, or process parameters related to validation. Respond and solve, along with the cross functional team, customer complaints, conduct investigations into customer complaints and assist with the development of a comprehensive Corrective Action / Preventive Action) (CAPA) plan to address the root causes of defects. Involved in Extrusion Process monitoring, dimensional data analysis and statistical tools. 20% domestic or international travel required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Industrial Engineering, Engineering, or related field of study and three years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
  • Three years of experience in developing and implementing new extrusion tooling from various suppliers
  • Experience working with Operations team to establish process improvements including scrap reduction, line speed increases, equipment upgrades, and related tasks
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including Operations, Quality, Purchasing, and other relevant departments across a wide range of projects
  • Experience participating in Corrective Action Preventive Action meetings
  • Experience performing cost and quality improvement projects that reduce Cost of Goods Sold (COGS)
  • Experience participating in the selection of extrusion equipment and tooling, including vendor development and selection
  • Experience helping to determine training needs for personnel associated with the operation of new equipment, new processes, various extrusion-grade materials as well as assisting in performing the training
  • Understanding of the overall manufacturing process for medical tubing extrusion, including ISO Class 7 cleanroom specific needs
