Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering strongly preferred or significant experience in an engineering role.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience (Manufacturing/Assembly Engineering, Ops, Engr, Quality).
  • Engineering degree with relevant co-op experience can be substituted for experience requirement.
  • Manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in a regulated industry such as ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485 preferred.
  • Understanding of Gamma and/or EO sterilization preferred
  • Demonstrated technical proficiency in complex manufacturing/assembly activities.
  • Demonstrated proficiency leading and managing a portfolio of cross functional projects.
  • Six Sigma project leadership/management/coaching experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in statistics, data analytics, DOE, and multivariate statistics.

Responsibilities

  • Sets, monitors, and improves the processes according to Statistical Process Control methodologies.
  • Sets and saves process settings and standards and facilitates the application of standards/systems.
  • Support product/material development and project implementation according to Design for Six Sigma Master Daily Direction Setting (DDS) zero loss flow chart and coach teams in the application.
  • Own technical gap analysis of their area of responsibility.
  • Lead small group activity in own technology area because is the expert for process and technology for their lines.
  • Responsible to improve the results.
  • Is ultimately responsible for continuously optimizing the production processes in a sustainable way through root cause analysis (RCA) and standardization.
  • Conducts root cause analysis (RCA) to identify underlying problems with processes or equipment.
  • Is responsible for training and coaching the operation teams to improve behaviors to the defined standards and procedures.
  • Identify and implement changes that improve equipment uptime, reduce cycle times, and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Contributes to AM (Autonomous Maintenance), PM (Planned Maintenance) and FI (Focused Improvement) pillars by providing technical expertise, helping to drive improvements in equipment performance and process reliability.
