About The Position

Loparex LLC is the world's largest manufacturer of extrusion base and silicon coated release liners for the converting industry. We have manufacturing operations throughout the U.S., Europe, China, and India. The Malvern facility is currently looking for a Process Engineer to join our team. The position is responsible for the optimization of quality and productivity on Malvern's Process Lines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Plastics, or Polymer Technology or in a related field preferred with 2-5 years related experience in a technical position in plastics manufacturing environment or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Experienced in Design of Experiments to optimize Quality and Productivity.
• Hands on working knowledge of blown film extrusion.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with release film, silicone coating, or slitting operations is preferred.
• Lean or Six Sigma certification a plus.
• Knowledge of MiniTab or equivalent statistical software.
• Experience with industrial ERP systems, preferably SAP.

Responsibilities

• Liaison between Operations, Quality, Plant Technology, as well as Loparex's R&D to ensure optimal quality and productivity are being met on Malvern process lines.
• Work with Quality and Operations to establish Machine Process Capabilities by Product to optimize efficiency, productivity, and product quality.
• Responsible for the planning, communication, setup and preparation, execution, testing, and follow-up reporting on new trials.
• Work with Quality and Plant Technology to investigate and resolve Customer concerns or complaints and support the implementation of any needed Root Cause and Corrective Action analysis.
• Support the Quality, Application Technology and the Commercial Team to establish appropriate Internal and External (Customer) Product Specifications that fall within established machine capabilities.
• Investigate and evaluate new technologies, equipment, and raw materials.
• Support the development of applicable Operator training processes and documentation and ensure all Job Instructions, Recipes, and Processes are followed in the operation for each Product.
• Extensive knowledge of safe workplace practices, standard operating procedures and conditions.
• Able to work independently or in a group, self-directed, and self-motivated.
• Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate orally and in writing; ability to instruct employees one on one and in a group setting.
• Continuous improvement implementation and sustainability; Lean or Six Sigma certification a plus.
• Statistical analysis including Process Capability (Ppk, Cpk etc..) and data trend analysis.
• Knowledge of MiniTab or equivalent statistical software.
• Experience with industrial ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Experienced leader with a proactive approach to problem solving and team building.
