About The Position

Sese Industrial is a greenfield operation that has an immediate opening for a Process Engineer. We are seeking a detail-oriented engineer to set up and monitor our operations to determine the most efficient production process. He or she will design/improve production layouts and processes with the purpose of increasing productivity, eliminating wastefulness, reducing costs, and ensuring quality standards are maintained.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in engineering, preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in process engineering
  • Ability to persuade others to change existing practices.
  • Ability to communicate effectively / Bilingual a Plus.
  • Experience working on multidisciplinary teams.
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Adept critical thinking skills for complex issues.

Nice To Haves

  • Six Sigma / Lean Certification Desired

Responsibilities

  • Conduct VSM Activities within the facility
  • Troubleshooting problems with associated manufacturing processes
  • Determine the most effective ways to use the basic factors of production — people, machines, materials, information, and energy — to make a product or to provide a service.
  • Conduct time studies and facilitate line balancing activities.
  • Review engineering specifications and conduct risk assessments
  • Design control systems and coordinate activities and production planning
  • Conduct research to develop new and improved processes for manufacturing.
  • Specifications to 3rd party Equipment Developers and Integrators by developing, configuring, and optimizing industrial processes from inception through to start up and certification, by utilizing but not limited to developing Scopes, RFQs, and Microsoft Projects Software.
  • Communicates findings and proposals to upper management.
  • Assessing processes, taking measurements, and interpreting data.
  • Designing, running, testing, and upgrading systems and processes. (Adding Auto-stations to systems)
  • Provide Quote information tooling / manning requirements.
  • Manage cost and time constraints.
  • Develop best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output.
  • Perform process simulations.
  • Update and control PFMEA, Flow Chart & Control Plan.
  • Design layout of building, machines and equipment, material handling system raw materials and finished goods storage facilities.
  • Maintain layout of facility and make updates as required.
  • Perform risk assessments.
  • Perform Ergonomics reviews and make recommendation for improvements.
  • Provide process documentation and operating instructions.
  • Development of time standards, costing, and performance standards.
  • Selection of processes and assembling methods.
  • Selection and design of tools and equipment.
  • Design and improvement of planning and control systems for production, inventory, quality, and plant maintenance.
  • Cost control systems.
  • Development and installation of job evaluation systems.
  • Design and installation of value stream mapping for process.
  • Supplier selection and evaluation.
