Scope of Position : This highly motivated individual, as part of the Technical Development and Testing Team, will be responsible for process optimization projects to realize material cost savings, enhanced functionality, and increased customer value. As a process engineer, this position will also be responsible for engineering support for the reactor and passivation. This position reports to Engineering Manager. This role is onsite and is based in Fort Worth, Texas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering.
  • 3+ years of industry experience.
  • Working knowledge of the design and implementation of chemical engineering processes
  • Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.
  • Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks, and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Support production capacity expansion projects and new media production projects by providing process expertise and project oversight as needed.
  • Lead process optimization initiatives and collaborate with Operations in defining and justifying projects to improve productivity and profitability.
  • Support media development efforts by providing process expertise, project oversight and performance documentation as needed.
  • Support chemical passivation efforts by providing process expertise, project oversight and performance documentation as needed.
  • Analyze current processes for cost savings opportunities.
  • Participate in Value Analysis\Value Engineering projects as directed.
  • Document processes and changes to processes in engineering drawings such as PFDs, P&IDs, and Engineering Change Notices (ECN).
  • Work closely with sustaining engineering to evaluate performance and cost effectiveness of selected products.
  • Work closely with sales and application engineering to identify and resolve field performance issues.
  • Work closely with internal and external laboratories to ensure proper test procedures for the products.
  • Promote and maintain a team environment and open communication to ensure continuous and efficient productivity.
  • Lead and facilitate project work.
  • Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by Engineering Manager or Company management.
  • Responsibility directly tied to Watts Value (Integrity, Accountability, Continuous Improvement, Transparency)
