The Process Engineer designs, develops, and improves manufacturing processes for antimicrobial and conductive silver-based fibers, fabrics, and foam products. This role partners with R & D, Production, Engineering, and Quality to launch new products and improve existing processes by reducing cost and scrap, increasing efficiency, and enhancing product quality.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical and statistical skills (JMP/SPC experience a plus)
  • Microsoft Office proficiency required
  • ERP experience (QAD preferred)
  • Manufacturing experience in chemical, textile, medical, or related industries preferred
  • Knowledge of ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 14001, AS9100) a plus
  • Six Sigma Certification, PMP Certification, or %S Training a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Detail-orientated and accurate
  • Strong work ethic
  • Excellent organizational skills and follow-through
  • Effective technical writing and presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • 3+ years of related experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Engineering or related technical field

Responsibilities

  • Analyze process data and KPIs to identify improvement opportunities
  • Lead process trials (DOEs) and support data-driven decision making
  • Improve manufacturing efficiency, output, quality, and safety
  • Create and maintain product documentation (recipes, process sheets, BOMs, routings)
  • Estimate production costs and ensure raw materials meet specifications
  • Collaborate with suppliers and Quality to maintain production standards
  • Support product scale-up and commercialization
  • Validate new equipment and monitor performance trends
  • Participate in failure investigations and corrective actions
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned
