Job Summary To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Process Engineer located at our Sheldahl site in Northfield, Minnesota. Reporting to the Process Engineering Manager, the Process Engineer is r esponsible for process-engineering capabilities focused on cost, quality and delivery improvements to support a manufacturing organization. What a typical day looks like: Interact with production operators and utilize their feedback with the goal of implementing process improvements Use statistical analysis tools to make data-driven decisions when working on product quality improvement projects. Previous position supporting 24/5 production manufacturing. Use engineering skills to solve complex problems that leads to improved yield for existing manufacturing processes in our Screen Printing, Photo Imaging, and Chemical Processing areas. Work closely with the product engineering team to introduce new products to manufacturing that involve a diverse mix of materials and process steps. Prepare justification, purchase and implement capital equipment for production. Develop and maintain process documentation. Provide equipment maintenance and repair support as required. Lead cost improvement/reduction programs. Develop and ma1intain process documentation. Review processing methods. Interface with production of all activities associated with new process implementation and transfer. Assist in the development of training and provide training to production personnel during new technology transfer. Provide equipment maintenance and repair hold up as required.
