Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial & Systems Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related fields
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in process engineering; automotive industry highly preferred
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and FEA analysis tools
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials used in automotive components
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team environment

Responsibilities

  • Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes, workflows, and layouts.
  • Provide engineering support to manufacturing operations and resolve production issues.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Production teams to resolve process and product issues.
  • Support new product introductions, including process development, tooling, and documentation.
  • Analyze manufacturing data to identify trends and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes comply with applicable safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support capital equipment projects, including justification, selection, and implementation.
  • Identify areas of improvement in manufacturing operations.
  • Recommend and implement changes to safety procedures, work methods, and labor standards
  • Work with existing facilities on productivity improvement projects.
  • Initiates and/or manages cost reductions and improvement projects
  • Identify areas to reduce waste in all manufacturing processes, focusing on process improvements using LEAN methodology
  • Responsible for planning, organizing, scheduling, and reporting as necessary to complete assignments
  • Work to resolve issues, improve quality, reduce customer complaints and ensure consistent quality
  • Maintain 2D CAD plant layouts.
