About The Position

An opportunity to be a subject matter expert on a dynamic MicroOptics fabrication team from developing new wafer-level prototype processes to sustaining production products. Provides engineering support in a cleanroom semiconductor manufacturing area. Recommends and implements equipment and process modifications to improve production efficiencies, manufacturing techniques and production yields for existing products. Develops and conducts statistical analysis such as Design of Experiments (DOE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) targeting physical cause of failure for yield loss and improving quality. Interacts with product design and development personnel to ensure that processes and designs are compatible.

Requirements

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years, Master's with a minimum of 6 years, or a PhD with a minimum of 3 years of related professional experience.
  • Cleanroom Expertise: Extensive experience operating within a cleanroom environment, specifically managing photolithography toolsets and materials, with a focus on i-line and Deep Ultraviolet (DUV) processes.
  • Equipment Operation: Demonstrated experience in the programming and practical operation of steppers and scanners.
  • Metrology & Analysis Tools: Direct experience with essential measurement and inspection tools, including overlay tools, film thickness metrology, contact aligners, coordinate measuring systems, and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) tools.
  • Data Proficiency: Strong practical experience utilizing data analysis software and statistical techniques, such as JMP or similar analytical packages.
  • Communication & Teamwork: Exceptional communication skills with a proven track record of successful, collaborative work in a team-based environment.
  • Analytical Acumen: Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, characterized by a highly meticulous and systematic approach to work.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage and execute complex projects effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Sustain photolithography process and equipment, including maintenance, troubleshooting, and documentation
  • Engage in the development of new processes and the fabrication of new and production products.
  • Collaborate with process engineers to identify and resolve equipment-related issues affecting production
  • Collaborate with Optical Design on reticle and mask design for optimal product realization
  • Champion significant projects, programs and business initiatives using demonstrated creativity and ingenuity
  • Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
  • Apply broad concepts and theories to achieve innovative and effective solutions to complex problems.
  • Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Network with key contacts outside their own area of expertise.
  • Determine own priorities, both tactical and strategic.
