About The Position

Provides engineering support in the PM&O department, with an emphasis on specific manufacturing areas within the department. Utilizes problem solving methods to resolve process issues that negatively impact yields and productivity. Initiates process improvement projects that help continuously improve the department. Develops processes, work instructions and tooling for both current production needs and newly developed processes. Reviews and approves quotes, taking exceptions to the requested specifications when necessary, requiring a good understanding of the manufacturing capabilities of the department. Assists the workforce in performing at a high level of productivity, quality and efficiency.

Requirements

  • 0-3 years in a preferably optics or other highly technical manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Optics or Engineering
  • Problem solving, fault isolation and analytical skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong background in math and mechanics
  • Optical/mechanical metrology capabilities
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Power Point
