About The Position

The Process Engineer Intern will be responsible for assisting in the design and optimization of our production process to ensure equipment reliability and continuous improvement. This role will use a systematic approach to solving problems and driving improvements in our manufacturing process and related systems to identify waste and implement countermeasures to drive waste reduction.

Requirements

Must be working towards a bachelor’s degree.
Must have completed Sophomore year.
Available 40 hours/week Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during the summer months.
Coursework, interest, or foundational understanding in areas such as production management, process safeguards.
Interest in working with data to support analysis and decision‑making.
Ability to organize information, document processes, and communicate findings clearly.
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new systems and processes.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

Process Control.
Blending and packaging equipment.
Recommending preventive maintenance, predictive activities and upgrade assessments.
Troubleshoot performance issues.
Downtime tracking.
Report generation.
Expand and optimize the automation of the AMSOIL INC. manufacturing process to include a HMI system for monitoring system performance.
Support Continuous Improvement initiatives throughout Operations.
Assist in project management for assigned projects related to AMSOIL INC. facilities, equipment and new installs:
Assist in developing and managing process safeguards to insure AMSOIL INC. quality is never compromised and mistake proofing is maximized.
Implement PLC programming and interfacing control concepts into a manufacturing environment.
Ensure process are designed with safety in mind.
