About The Position

Process Engineer II plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and compliant operation of waste treatment processes while driving improvements in safety, quality, and reliability. You will be part of a dynamic team, working closely with technical professionals across various disciplines to achieve operational excellence and support the site's production system improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical, or chemical engineering, or a related field, plus 2 years' experience in plant operations
  • Master of Science degree in mechanical, chemical engineering, or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Track key parameters of waste treatment and set direction in the area, ensuring all permit parameters are maintained under control in compliance with DNR requirements
  • Make tactical decisions and set directions to achieve area performance goals related to safety, quality, waste minimization, capacity, reliability, and operability
  • Investigate plant performance issues related to safety, quality, environmental impact, capacity, reliability, and operability, leading to the proposal and implementation of sound technical solutions
  • Support capital project implementation as a process expert and plant representative for the design, construction, and implementation of investment projects, interfacing technical professionals from other disciplines (e.g., PCT, project engineering, environmental, process safety)
  • Connect with global technical waste treatment experts, ensuring the site operates according to Bayer best practices and leveraging the global support help chain for projects and processes
  • Create, maintain, and develop standards for plant operating documentation, including standard operating procedures, process descriptions, material and energy balances, P&IDs, and operating data collection and retrieval
  • Propose designs and execute plant trials aimed at enhancing plant performance
  • Compile, format, and submit environmental data necessary for timely and accurate filing with local, state, and federal agencies
  • Promote the continued development of self and area personnel through peer coaching and providing constructive feedback
  • Support site and area production system improvements, including OnePSS
