About The Position

JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Process Engineer II to support and optimize our manufacturing operations for dental consumables. This role is key to sustaining production equipment and processes, investigating and resolving non-conformances, and driving improvements through engineering change orders. You will also play a critical role in establishing and managing outsourced vendor manufacturing and quality plans. Additionally, you’ll contribute to continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen and 5S, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to promote operational excellence. Success in this position requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, and clear communication, along with the flexibility for occasional domestic travel (up to 10%).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related fields required.
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in a regulated manufacturing environment; medical device industry highly desired.
  • Knowledge in troubleshooting automation equipment.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with finished goods packaging methods and best practices preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of chemical-based production processes related to composite compounding and powder processing.
  • Ability to manage complex projects.
  • Aptitude to quickly learn business systems.
  • Experience in applying lean concepts/tools.
  • Strong verbal and technical written communication skills, and presentation skills in English.
  • Ability to build strong partnerships with other departments.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the sustainment of production equipment and existing manufacturing processes. This includes gathering use requirements, equipment specifications, quotes, procurement activities, and validations.
  • Establishes outsourced vendor manufacturing and quality plans.
  • Maintains an understanding of all current manufacturing processes and identifies targets for improvement via collection/trending and analysis of operational data.
  • Leads small projects based on identified opportunities.
  • Provides support to Senior and above Engineers for projects of greater complexity.
  • Provides support for Utilizes Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) methodologies when driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Actively participates in continuous improvement activities including but not limited to Kaizen and 5S events, Problem Solving Process, Value Stream Mapping, and Transaction Process Improvement.
  • Effectively collaborates with cross-functional teams to meet business objectives.
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures including safety and quality.
  • Travels up to 10% domestically.
