The Electro Optical Infrared Systems (EOIS) line of business within DRS has locations in Dallas and Austin, TX, Melbourne, FL, and Cypress, CA. Perform design, fabrication, modification and/or evaluation of manufacturing operations. May prepare plans, conduct support studies, and provide analysis or tests in the development of manufacturing operations. May assign work to drafters and/or technicians. Responsibilities are moderate in scope where analysis of situations or data involves a variety of common factors Only general guidance is needed on routine work; instructions on new assignments as needed Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization Involved with the design, development, modification and analysis of products. Troubleshoot and diagnoses problems with existing products and makes modifications and improvements as needed. Compile and evaluate product design and test data. Evaluate and recommend design approaches to meet production requirements for new or improved products. Working knowledge of statistical techniques in development such as Design of Experiments and SPC.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field
  • 2-5 years process and/or semiconductor engineering experience
  • Specialties may include manufacturing, production, industrial, welding, tooling, testing, processing, software, and robotics
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
