Garyville's Process Engineering team is a dynamic and collaborative environment responsible for understanding, analyzing, and improving the production units at the Garyville site. The team's key stakeholders include the production operators they support, the maintenance & reliability group, and the planning group. The Process Engineer role is key in reaching site and organizational goals related to safety, performance, TPM, and customer service. The Process Engineer is an individual contributor that will be responsible for specific production units on the Garyville site. This means the engineer will learn the chemical processes that take place in the unit, build relationships with the operators that run those processes, and communicate the KPIs and challenges of the unit's planned production. Once a basic understanding of the unit is in place, the Process Engineer will be responsible for maintaining a safe and compliant workplace, implementing process changes in the unit, and working with appropriate stakeholders (QA, TPM, Maintenance, Capital) to improve unit efficiency and performance. Each process engineer is responsible for different units and processes, but it's necessary to work with other engineers and departments to achieve the best solutions. The ideal candidate is analytical, an effective communicator, and focused on execution.
