Process Engineer Dry Etch Process Engineer responsible for development and sustaining of plasma etch technology at the MACOM wafer fab located in Lowell, MA.

Requirements

  • BS or MS degree in Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of experience in semiconductor process engineering.
  • Specific experience in plasma etch technology – RIE / ICP
  • Specific semiconductor skills include solid understanding of data mining and statistics, SPC and DOE, Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and structured problem solving.
  • Must have a proven track record of solving technical problems, project ownership, meeting deadlines, and multitasking.
  • Must display strong sense of ownership, enthusiasm, optimism, drive, and dedication to the improvement of the process area.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams to improve processes.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills, including technical writing for summarizing data and findings, writing process and equipment specifications and work instructions.
  • Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills.
  • Due to ITAR regulations, only candidates who are U.S. Persons (U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, lawful permanent residents, or individuals granted asylum or refugee status) will be considered for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Sustains the dry etch area (RIE/ICP/CAIBE) to meet all factory indicators
  • Plans and conducts experiments to fully characterize the process throughout the development cycle
  • Drives improvements on quality, reliability, cost, yield, process stability/capability, productivity and safety/ergonomic over variables such as material, method, equipment, environment and operating personnel.
  • Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education, statistical knowledge, and problem-solving tools.
