About The Position

Analyze, develop, and implement strategies to improve process efficiency, quality, and productivity in manufacturing and business operations. Provide coaching, training, and develop methodologies in all work activities using Lean Six Sigma tools while managing projects.

Responsibilities

  • Identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement in equipment implementation, with an emphasis on designing and developing new procedures.
  • Collaborate with all departments on various projects related to continuous improvement to refine processes and ensure standards are maintained, supporting high-quality production.
  • Lead initiatives in lean manufacturing.
  • Offer practical suggestions for improving processes in the production area and other plant sections. Emphasize optimizing operations, maintaining high product quality, improving inventory management, reducing waste, and utilizing materials more efficiently, among other key objectives.
  • Communicate, research, and offer recommendations to identify issues and enhance production by suggesting potential solutions.
  • Regularly assess time and capacity to ensure efficiency and find opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure consistent adherence to KPA procedures (key process area) by executing, monitoring, and continually improving engineering processes related to quality, safety, logistics, productivity, and efficiency. This includes maintaining accurate documentation, identifying and resolving process deviations, implementing corrective actions, supporting audits, and contributing to training efforts to uphold standards and enhance performance.
  • Schedule projects and maintain proactive communication with the immediate supervisor, management team, and other relevant departments regarding the status and progress.
  • Complete and execute all projects on schedule and within budget, ensuring that the necessary labor, tools, training, and other resources are appropriately managed.
  • Verify that all changes, modifications, and improvements to processes in the production areas and other sections are functioning as expected.
  • Develop standard procedures, work instructions, and training for new processes or changes implemented in production areas, while considering health and safety aspects as needed.
  • Supervise and participate in projects for installing new equipment and procedures at the plant, as well as managing the related validation processes.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to technical specifications to satisfy operational requirements, including managing tasks such as planning, scheduling, risk, and communicating with stakeholders.
  • Must be able to analyze, foresee, and anticipate any risks or dangers associated with a process or project before implementation.
  • Develop and implement metrics to assess efficiency and validate both existing and new processes.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering Department, Production and Operations Managers, Maintenance and Facilities, and other relevant staff to plan projects that enhance production processes and address necessary repairs within the departments.
  • Generate regular reports on completed projects' results.
  • Report any detectable risk situations and develop an action plan to handle them quickly.
  • Maintain proactive communication with the production department to provide updates on the status of coordinated work involving equipment, repairs, process improvements, the implementation of new equipment, and other related tasks.
  • Integrate process engineering efforts with the maintenance and technicians’ team by offering guidance on various projects and situations.
  • Evaluate contractors' proposals for external services by reviewing cost, quality, and the guarantees provided, along with related improvement processes.
  • Provide updates on the status of orders for equipment, parts, and materials needed for the improvement process plan.
  • Collaborate with production supervisors on projects affecting their areas.
  • Collaborate on projects that affect various departments within the organization, such as production, quality control, customer service, and other relevant areas as needed.
  • Execute projects concerning the management of both regular and hazardous waste, where applicable, and identify suitable treatment and disposal alternatives along with their associated costs.
  • Deliver presentations on new processes and other initiatives related to lean manufacturing.
  • Participate actively in management team meetings as needed.
  • Propose ideas and projects that benefit the organization.
  • Participate in health and safety initiatives.
  • Comply with all EHS company rules and policies, including OSHA and applicable environmental regulations.
  • Visit clients to handle situations, including new or existing projects that need personal attention, as needed.
  • Stay informed about processes, information systems, technologies, and new equipment in production areas.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive information related to prices, processes, or other operational details.
  • Maintain active communication with their immediate supervisor about any issues that affect their work area, failures, or irregularities.
  • Ensure understanding and full compliance with the regulations in the Employee Handbook, including any updates or new procedures introduced by the company due to technological and operational changes.
  • Consistently follow the approved work schedule, arrive on time, attend employee meetings and other shifts as required by the company, and be available to work overtime when needed.
  • Assist clients during their visits to our facilities, including audits and meetings as needed.
  • Promote a positive work environment by showing respect and courtesy to your immediate supervisor, co-workers, company personnel, suppliers, and customers.
  • Promote and support teamwork among members.
  • Coordinate with any other tasks related to the company's operations.
