Tate’s Bake Shop is seeking an experienced Continuous Improvement Engineer with 5–10 years of relevant experience to join our snack food manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will focus on waste reduction, line efficiency, throughput improvement, and the development of process controls aligned with product specifications. This role requires strong project management skills, ROI-based prioritization, and the ability to balance multiple initiatives across departments while driving measurable improvements in product quality, operational performance, and financial results. What can you expect on the job? Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives focused on waste reduction, throughput increase, and line efficiency. Develop, validate, and implement process controls based on product specifications to ensure consistent product quality. Apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies to identify root causes, implement sustainable solutions, and drive measurable improvements. Conduct trade-off analyses to evaluate solutions and guide decision-making. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Quality & Food Safety, R&D, Corporate Engineering, and Supply Chain. Partner with frontline employees to identify opportunities and gain buy-in for change implementation. Communicate project progress, challenges, and results effectively to executive leadership and stakeholders with competing priorities. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, developing multi-prong strategies and prioritizing based on ROI and business impact. Develop, track, and report KPIs against implemented initiatives to ensure long-term success and sustainability of improvements. Support product quality improvement initiatives while maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. Other duties as assigned. What will make you successful in the role? Bachelor’s degree in Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field required. 5–10 years of experience in Continuous Improvement, preferably within food or snack manufacturing. Proven success in leading process improvement projects with measurable ROI. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct trade-off analysis. Demonstrated success in strategic thinking and solution-oriented problem solving. Excellent communication skills, with ability to collaborate with frontline employees and present effectively to executive leadership. Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines Experience developing KPIs and reporting systems to track performance improvements. What should you bring? Salary and Benefits: The base salary range for this position is $109,000 to $149,875; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education and location.
