About The Position

Develop cost effective, efficient, and high-quality process build instructions for electrical harness and electro-mechanical assemblies. Interface with pre-production and production cross-functional teams to ensure developed processes, tools and equipment produce a production-ready product. Process Development Engineer II Responsibilities Include: Develop Manufacturing Process Instructions (MPI). Create routings and BOMS in an ERP & MES system. Ensures drawings, specifications, work instructions and test processes meets customer & company requirements. Interacts with customers to obtain and provide technical information. Create reports and status project updates. Create labor standard hours/Time-Standards. Interpret engineering and technical information. Designs wire harness build board and coordination of test requirements. Creates and maintains new design data. Supports implementation/evolution of ERS, DPD and MBD. Supports Engineering & Manufacturing technology roadmap. Research and review specifications for RFQs (Request for Quotes). Performs tooling reviews and capability analysis. Develops, reviews, and approves quoted bill of materials & cost analysis. Performs other job-related duties as assigned Process Development Engineer II Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial) and at least 4-7 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced knowledge, skills and understanding of the principles and practice of engineering. Experience and understanding of all applicable electrical & energy codes, i.e. NFPA70E, NEC, NEMA, IEEE, LEED, etc. is a definite plus. Able to identify and resolve pre-production issues systematically. Experience with AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS or Catia software to interpret model-based definition. Experience with wire harness 2D and 3D design, wire harness installation drawings, and build board creation, wiring diagrams. General wire harness analysis, testing and qualification experience. Wire harness component selection and qualification experience. Knowledge of aerospace specifications and experience executing DoD contracts a plus. Capability to solve complex design problems with minimal supervision. Strong ability to work with teams with a proven ability to effectively interact and collaborate. Ability to work in a fast-paced, autonomously driven, and demanding full-production environment. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ERP/MRP systems. Excellent written and communication skills. Strong sense of personal accountability and drive to succeed. PLM experience/Creation and Maintenance. Fiber Optics assembly/development experience a definite plus. Lean Manufacturing & Visual Factory experience is a plus.
