Responsible for tracking engineering changes and updates necessary documents using Management of Change (MOC) process. Assists in setting up, qualifying and maintaining equipment and machinery. Responsible for trouble-shooting issues and must keep current on latest technology. Acts as primary resource for all existing Distributed Control System (DCS) equipment and initiatives. Process Automation Engineers devise, build up, mount and keep an eye on instrumentation and control systems that sense, quantify and run functioning processes. Devises specifications and in-depth documentation for their designs. They must be great trouble-shooters and must be up to date with the latest technology. Makes sure that field devices, instrumentation systems, communication networks and interfaces are working properly. Build up and instigate advanced testing methodologies and makes use of a combination of testing techniques. They work together with field group, contractors, consulting firms and Suppliers to integrate new technology into existing manufacturing systems. Process Automation Engineers will be the primary resource for all existing Distributed Control System (DCS) equipment and initiatives.
