About The Position

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Process Architect Intern to support their Enterprise Excellence organization in modernizing and standardizing business processes across the enterprise. This internship offers hands-on exposure to enterprise transformation, business process management, and operational excellence. The intern will collaborate with Enterprise Excellence leaders and the Signavio Product team to capture, model, and synthesize business processes identified through BJ’s summer intern projects. The resulting work will contribute to BJ’s long-term enterprise process repository and support initiatives across various core functions like Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Membership. This role is ideal for students interested in operations, consulting, process improvement, or enterprise systems.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program
• Strong analytical, structured thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to synthesize conversations and documentation into clear process flows
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with diverse stakeholders
• High attention to detail and ability to produce professional documentation
• Willingness to learn new tools, methods, and concepts quickly

Nice To Haves

• Interest in operations, business process improvement, or enterprise transformation
• Familiarity with AI tools, including ChatGPT

Responsibilities

• Translate findings from ~25 intern-led projects into standardized business process models
• Document end-to-end processes using BPMN-style flows in SAP Signavio (training provided)
• Conduct structured intakes to capture current-state processes, pain points, and opportunities
• Ensure process consistency within BJ’s enterprise process hierarchy
• Partner with the Signavio Product Manager to review and validate models
• Identify cross-functional themes and optimization opportunities
• Contribute to final insights and presentations highlighting enterprise value
