This role is crucial for ensuring the stability of processes and reliability of equipment in die casting operations, directly impacting the quality of manufactured parts. The technician will combine hands-on maintenance with process control to ensure all die cast components meet specifications and machinery is always ready for production. Key responsibilities include configuring and setting up various production equipment for consistent, high-quality output, as well as diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues. The role also involves performing preventative maintenance to avoid future failures, supporting the upkeep of plant structures and systems (electrical, heating, plumbing, hydraulic), and conducting precision bench work on tools, dies, fixtures, jigs, gauges, and guarding to maintain operational precision and safety. Furthermore, the technician will be responsible for statistical process charting, interpretation, and trend analysis, making necessary process and equipment adjustments to ensure parts are within specification. General support tasks, such as operating a forklift and other assigned duties, are also part of the role.
