About The Position

The Procedure Support Assistant is an integral part of the Radiology procedural team in providing support to patient, providers and staff. This individual assists with all procedure aspects in planning and caring for patient’s care, comfort, and safety prior to the procedure, during the procedure, and post procedure and performs in a manner consistent with Marshfield Clinic Health System’s (MCHS) mission, policies, and initiatives while maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.

Requirements

• Graduate of a medical assistant or licensed practical nurse program.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Demonstrated leadership ability.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire in addition to one of the following: Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification awarded by the American Medical Technologists (AMT) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or Surgical Technologist certification awarded by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license awarded by the State of Wisconsin
• Employee may not at any time have been or be excluded from participation in any federally funded program, including Medicare and Medicaid.

Nice To Haves

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
