About The Position

The surgery procedural scheduler primary duties include but are not limited to: The surgery procedural scheduler is responsible for performing detailed clerical functions required to maintain the automated operating room scheduling system. Responsibilities include entering and updating data, extracting patient demographics and surgical procedure information along with necessary requirements from surgical information sheets and inputting into EPIC (electronic medical record system) coordinating all surgical procedures and assuring that all the appropriate clinical coding information is collected for the surgery schedule. Scheduler receives requests to schedule procedures from physician offices and schedules the procedure according to established guidelines.
