About The Position

Lecturers will teach graduate, and instructors will teach undergraduate classes in community and regional planning, nonprofit management, public policy, or public administration. Our intent is to establish a local teaching pool for possible appointments in urban planning, natural resource policy, education policy, local government management, human resource management, management information systems, financial management, health policy, equity and social justice, and other areas of planning, public administration, public policy, and nonprofit management. We seek candidates from diverse backgrounds who have the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.

Requirements

  • Instructor: Master’s degree. In exceptional circumstances, a BA/BS degree and evidence of substantial professional experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Lecturer (for those teaching primarily graduate-level courses): Terminal degree in relevant field.
  • Proficient communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.

Nice To Haves

  • Ph.D. in a relevant field.
  • Teaching experience in the course topics to be taught is preferred.
