About The Position

The Geography Department is seeking to create a pool of applicants for its open instructor pool. Positions are limited-duration appointments potentially renewable for up to a total of three years. In limited circumstances, there is the possibility of renewal beyond three years based on programmatic need, funding, and performance. Teaching positions will work under the supervision of the Geography Department Head. We seek applicants with a teaching background in human Geography for both undergraduate and graduate-level courses.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Geography or related field required by start of position.
  • Successful candidates will have professional experience, demonstrated ability or potential for quality teaching, and a commitment to working effectively with students, faculty and staff from diverse backgrounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Ph.D. in Geography or related field.
  • Teaching experience in Human Geography, Physical Geography, or GIScience.
