About The Position

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Provides customer service to golfers. Checks in golfers upon arrival. Answers the phone, schedules tee times, and handles customer inquiries and/or complaints. Accepts payment for green fees, range balls, pull carts, club rentals, and Pro Shop merchandise. Prices and stocks merchandise. Arranges and displays Pro Shop inventory. Records totals on cash register tape and verifies against cash on hand. Gives refunds and/or issues credits on customer returns. Operates computerized point-of-sale system. Assists with the physical inventory at the end of the month. Ensures the Pro Shop is kept clean and orderly. Assists with organizing and implementing tournaments, group outings and special events. Secures clubhouse and sets security alarm. Serves as backup to co-workers. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have one-year experience collecting cash and other payments.
  • Ability to operate a computerized point-of-sale system.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification required within 90 days of hire
  • Must be flexible - position can work afternoons, weeknights and weekend hours
  • Valid SC Driver's License
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service to include problem solving and dispute resolution when necessary
  • Possess basic math skills and can handle money and operate a point-of-sale system and register.
  • Ability to provide quality service to customers.
  • Knowledge of department policies and procedures.
  • Skilled in oral and written communication.

Nice To Haves

  • Exceptional customer service skills and golf knowledge and experience are desired.
  • Previous experience in a golf course setting desired with knowledge of golf merchandise.
