Requirements

  • Requires strong organizational and communication skills, working knowledge of personal computers, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Able to complete required clinical paperwork according to established protocol and regulatory agency requirements.
  • Must be able to maintain professional and appropriate boundaries with clients and families.
  • Ability to act professionally in high stress situations.
  • Master’s degree in a counseling related field, MSW, LCSW, LPCC, LPC, licensed or seeking licensure in the State of Colorado.
  • One year of clinical experience working with adults.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires a full range of body motion including handling and physical restraint of patients.
  • Ability to perform CPR and first aid.
  • Ability to work rotating schedules.
  • Ability to drive a vehicle if necessary.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write.
  • Emotional stability necessary to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Vision and hearing sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.

Responsibilities

  • The therapist role is designed to provide group and individual therapy to clients within outpatient setting.
  • Therapists have the primary responsibility for treatment and discharge planning, and interface with community agencies and referral sources throughout the client's course of treatment.
  • As the PHP/IOP Therapist, this individual will have oversight of all social work functions for acute patients.
  • This would include Psychosocial Assessments, Treatment Plans, Active Treatment, and Discharge Planning.
