About The Position

This position is responsible for providing focused orientation and education for the Behavioral Health RN staff for the hospital as the PRN RN NURSE EDUCATOR The RN Educator role assesses RN training and development needs on an on-going basis. This individual coordinates and teaches orientation and other training programs (i.e. Treatment Plans, Documentation, group facilitation, Handle with Care, Verbal De-escalation, CPR, AMSR, etc.). The RN Educator coordinates and ensures completion of annual mandatory training and ensures competency of staff, maintains hospital’s training calendar and is responsible for the Healthstream on-line training tool, is responsible in ensuring all CEU admissions are submitted to CE Broker and properly maintained.

Requirements

Must be a Licensed Registered Nurse within the State of Florida.
Education and experience must be equivalent to an Associate of Science in Nursing

Nice To Haves

a Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred
Prefer two (2) years in psychiatric nursing and prefer at least 1-year RN Education experience.
