Hillcrest Hospital's 4 Southeast Unit is a 38-bed medical/surgical unit that is chest pain accredited and provides diagnostics procedures like cardiac Cath, angioplasty, stenting, and valve repair. As an RN on this team, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care by interacting directly with patients, families, and visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and supply healthcare information as needed. This position requires a caregiver who is empathetic, understanding and nurturing to ensure quality patient care and effective life-saving treatment. Our Center for Workplace Violence Prevention and Caregiver Well-Being sets caregiver safety as a priority, identifying, reporting and responding to incidents and providing safety resources. A caregiver in this position works PRN (as needed) variable shifts.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program)
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
External applicants: two years of recent experience in an acute care setting
Internal applicants with less than two years' experience, but post orientation/90-day probationary period, could be considered with the Chief Nursing Officer level review and approval
Will consider military RN experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) OR American Red Cross
