Mercy Hospital's 32-bed Cardiac Step-Down and Med/Surg Telemetry unit is looking to add a Registered Nurse (RN) to their talented team of caregivers. As an RN on this team, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care, from initial introduction to final send-off. In this role, you will interact directly with patients, families, and visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and supply healthcare education as needed. Additionally, the Cleveland Clinic system provides nurses with many professional development resources, including furthering education and online/in-person courses to enhance your skills.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN program)
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  • External applicants: two years of recent related nursing experience
  • Internal applicants: less than two years of experience, but post orientation/90-day probationary period considered with the Chief Nursing Officer approval for internal applicants
  • Licensed military RN experience will be considered

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans.
  • Monitor, record and communicate patients' conditions.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs.
