About The Position

Join Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital’s team of caregivers, recognized as one of the top hospitals in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale metro area and Florida. Weston Hospital offers innovative treatments and advanced surgical capabilities in urology, with caregivers specializing in minimally invasive options for urologic procedures and the treatment of various conditions and cancers affecting the kidneys, bladder, prostate, and urinary tract. As an RN on the Urology team, you will deliver exceptional care throughout the patient care journey, interacting directly with patients and their families to enhance their experience and provide healthcare education. This PRN position requires working a minimum of 2 days per week from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and can serve as a steppingstone to other nursing and leadership positions within Cleveland Clinic.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program)
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  • One year of recent experience as an RN
  • Will consider LPN, Medical Assistant and/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience in substitution of RN experience if applicant is a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in an ambulatory setting transferring into an RN role but remaining in the same current ambulatory Cleveland Clinic setting OR a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in a clinical role within the same specialty area transferring into an ambulatory area

Nice To Haves

  • Emergency Department experience
  • Three or more years of nursing experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting
  • Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone triage and establish care plans
  • Collaborate with care coordinators to ensure smooth and effective transitions of care
  • Administer medications and treatments
  • Initiate CPR and other emergency measures as needed
  • Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings
  • Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeutic procedures and specialized patient care equipment
  • Develop, evaluate, adapt and document health education and provide it to patients and families
  • Cover other nursing roles within the department
