About The Position

Join Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital’s team of caregivers, recognized as one of the top hospitals in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale and Florida regions. The Urology practice manages complex oncology patients requiring extensive nursing care, including triage, symptom monitoring, and clinical decision-making. As an RN, you will deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care, interacting directly with patients and their families to enhance their experience and provide education and support. This role is essential for supporting clinic efficiency and expanding procedural capacity, such as biopsies and cystoscopies, ensuring high-quality care and operational success.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing (ADN or BSN program)
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  • One year of recent experience as an RN OR LPN, Medical Assistant and/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience if applicant is a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in an ambulatory setting transferring into an RN role but remaining in the same current ambulatory Cleveland Clinic setting OR a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in a clinical role within the same specialty area transferring into an ambulatory area

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Three years of recent experience as an RN
  • Prior leadership experience
  • Urology experience or strong LPN experience
  • ER experience
  • Experience performing procedures at bedside

Responsibilities

  • Triaging and monitoring patients
  • Documenting and reporting changes in condition
  • Maintaining accurate medical records
  • Administering medications and treatments
  • Observing adverse reactions
  • Performing diagnostic tests
  • Preparing patients for examinations and procedures
  • Managing complex inbox communications and prior authorizations
  • Support clinic efficiency and expand procedural capacity, including biopsies and cystoscopies
  • Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting
  • Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone triage and establish care plans
  • Initiate CPR and other emergency measures as needed
  • Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings
  • Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeutic procedures and specialized patient care equipment
  • Develop, evaluate, adapt and document health education and provide it to patients and families
  • Cover other nursing roles within the department
