Requirements

• Must possess a high school diploma or GED
• 3-5 years experience in health care registration setting required
• Work with insurance payers is required

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Acts as a role model in stewardship and support of the Scheduling Center.
• Is responsible for accurate MR selection, preregistration and securing pre-authorizations prior to a patient arrival or after arrival at the facility depending on your role in the department.
• Maintains a thorough knowledge of insurance requirements to ensure procedures/ visits are authorized from payers.
• Acts as a department support in training, assisting peers or other assigned responsibilities to supervisor/manager.
