Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant preferred.
- Experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar clinical role.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and dermatological practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for patient and team interactions.
- Ability to manage confidential information with integrity.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems and office software.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of patients for examinations by taking vital signs and recording medical history.
- Support physicians during examinations and procedures, ensuring necessary instruments are available.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for lab analysis.
- Maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality are upheld at all times.
- Schedule patient appointments and manage communications effectively.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and skincare practices.
- Ensure examination rooms are clean, organized, and adequately stocked with supplies.
