Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant preferred.
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a clinical setting is strongly desired.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, particularly in dermatology.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with patients and team members.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
- Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and standard office software is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs and medical histories.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are available.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and manage specimen handling for analysis.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
- Schedule appointments and facilitate office communications effectively.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medication usage, and effective skincare practices.
- Ensure examination and treatment rooms are clean, organized, and adequately stocked.
