Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a clinical setting is strongly desired.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, particularly in dermatology.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with patients and team members.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and standard office software is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs and medical histories.
  • Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are available.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests and manage specimen handling for analysis.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
  • Schedule appointments and facilitate office communications effectively.
  • Educate patients on treatment plans, medication usage, and effective skincare practices.
  • Ensure examination and treatment rooms are clean, organized, and adequately stocked.
