About The Position

PRN Insurance Verification/Payment Posting Clerk At Bristol Ambulatory Surgery Center, we believe that health and care are inseparable. Our facility is accredited by The Joint Commission, and physician-owned, with ownership and investment information available upon request. Our surgical specialties include Cosmetic, ENT, General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Oral Surgery, Orthopedics, Pain Management, Podiatry, and Spine. This position is 100% onsite. We are seeking a PRN Insurance Verifier/Payment Poster to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and experience working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required
Previous insurance verification experience in a hospital or healthcare setting required
Payment posting experience
Experience with commercial and public insurance plans (Medicare, Medicaid, etc.)
Strong communication and customer service skills
Proficiency with computers and electronic health record systems
Demonstrated longevity and reliability in past roles

Responsibilities

Verify patient insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility for scheduled procedures
Obtain pre-authorizations and ensure accurate documentation in patient records
Posting payments
Communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, and clinical staff
Ensure all information is complete and accurate prior to the date of service
Support front office operations as needed
