About The Position

At Connection Wellness Group, a leading mental health provider in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex with 12 facilities and virtual therapy services, the focus is on fostering genuine healing and sustainable change through comprehensive Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) for adults and adolescents. The PRN Group Therapist position involves facilitating psychoeducational and process groups, completing treatment plans, and actively engaging with the treatment team. This role also contributes to the development and implementation of a holistic, evidence-based curriculum aimed at addressing patient symptoms, building skills, and guiding patients towards long-term wellness. As a PRN employee, specific requirements include maintaining an updated availability calendar, not denying more than three provided shifts per quarter, responding to coverage requests within 48 hours, and attending all training/in-service sessions.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or equivalent field
  • Current unencumbered clinical license (LPC, LPC-A, LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, LMFT-A, LCDC) per state of practice guidelines
  • Experience working with individuals who struggle with mental health and substance use, or equivalent experience
  • Dual diagnosis background
  • Experience working in higher levels of care (inpatient, residential, PHP, IOP)
  • A thorough knowledge of and adherence to ethical guidelines
  • A thorough knowledge of and adherence to state and federal guidelines and compliance regulations (HIPAA, Mandated Reporting, etc.)
  • Maintain adequate professional liability insurance
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Willingness to submit to a national background check
  • Cannot deny three (3) provided shifts within each quarter

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the development and implementation of a holistic, evidence-based curriculum that focuses on addressing patient symptoms and building necessary skills
  • Ensuring available time is updated on the PRN availability calendar
  • Responding to coverage requests by leadership within 48 hours
  • Attending all training/in-service in order to stay on top of process and policy updates
  • Communicating with primary supervisor to ensure information is received if unable to attend training/in-service
