Requirements

Skilled in the proper and safe use, cleaning, and maintenance of standard kitchen utensils and equipment.
Basic knowledge of the principles and practices of safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene as it relates to food preparation and services.
Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
Must be able to communicate effectively and have excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
Current Oregon Food Handler License or obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Prepare food trays for general, therapeutic diets and special diet foods as necessary. Preparation and delivery of food items as requested by patients.
Responsible for maintaining tray line in a clean and orderly manner and the organization of clean dishes and utensils.
Ability to operate a dishwasher and wash specified items by hand, i.e., pots, pans, knives.
Dispose of trash and garbage in an appropriate manner and as needed.
Mop floors, clean walk-in refrigerators and storage areas as scheduled and as necessary.
Receive, stores, issues, and delivers necessary food, supplies, and equipment.
Manage incoming calls, take messages and process phone orders.
This is a PRN position or "as needed."
