About The Position

The PRN Community Services Coordinator plays a key role in supporting UnityPoint Health’s maternity services by providing welcoming, informative, and engaging experiences for expectant parents and their families. This position is responsible for conducting maternity center tours at both the Methodist West and Iowa Methodist Medical Center (IMMC) campuses, collaborating with childbirth education staff, OB nursing and representing UnityPoint Health with professionalism, compassion, and enthusiasm. Requirements

  • HS Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct engaging, accurate, and informative maternity center tours at Methodist West and IMMC campuses.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable and welcoming resource for expectant parents and families.
  • Collaborate closely with the Childbirth Education Program Coordinator to ensure consistent, high quality‑ educational experiences.
  • Clearly and confidently present information to groups of expectant parents and others, adapting communication style as needed.
  • Represent UnityPoint Health in a professional, positive, and supportive manner at all times.
  • Willing to become a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician to better educate parents on car seat safety.
