About The Position

Privileged Access Management Engineer The Dell Security & Resiliency organization (SRO) manages the security risk across all aspects of Dell’s business. Join us as a Privileged Access Management (PAM) Engineer on our Cybersecurity team in Round Rock, TX or Hopkinton, MA to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact. What you’ll achieve In this role, you will join a highly skilled team of engineers dedicated to modernizing and standardizing Dell’s Enterprise Privileged Access Management (PAM) platform as part of the broader Identity and Access Management Modernization Program. You will help drive the transition from homegrown and legacy systems to modern, scalable solutions; integrate with leading identity and business platforms; and ensure robust security and compliance controls are built into every stage of the design and implementation process.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of IAM experience, including 3+ years implementing Okta or similar on‑prem/SaaS platforms (e.g., BeyondTrust, CyberArk, Krontech, HashiCorp) in large‑scale enterprise migration environments
  • Strong understanding of IAM fundamentals (RBAC, provisioning, SSO, MFA) with deep expertise in PAM concepts such as credential vaulting, lifecycle management, access control, and least privilege
  • Familiarity with industry security standards and identity protocols, including OAuth, SAML, and OpenID, as well as related compliance requirements
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex issues escalated by business or operational teams
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder‑influence skills, with the ability to partner effectively with peers, leadership, and cross‑functional teams
  • Must be a US Citizen (this role will work with Dell’s Corporate and Federal environments)

Nice To Haves

  • Okta experience/certifications (e.g., Okta Certified Professional, Okta Certified Administrator)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and directory services (Active Directory, LDAP)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (or related field), or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement Okta PAM solutions for privileged access management, user provisioning, and access control management
  • Onboard enterprise systems on the Okta PAM platform using Okta OOTB connectors/API integrations for servers, applications and secrets management
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (IT, security, compliance) to ensure proper implementation of privileged access management and compliance standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Okta PAM configurations, integrations, and performance
  • Contribute to PAM/IAM roadmap planning, new capabilities required to enable business needs/emerging industry trends
