From your PASSION to ours Lactalis American Group, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Private Label Marketing Intern based in Buffalo, New York. This is a 12-month paid internship opportunity, full or part-time with a minimum of twenty hours per week, where the Store Brands intern with focus on three areas; customer portals, managing the artwork and packaging process and bid data collection/system entry not including pricing. From your EXPERTISE to ours Key responsibilities for this position include: Customer Portal Management – all aspects of maintenance of customer portals which includes working with internal cross-functional teams to collect the necessary information/data to populate customer portals. See attached current portal spreadsheet for all customers and their respective portals. Examples: company information for finished good resource spec setup, packaging and sustainability data/ surveys, current documentation, and artwork review These portals and systems are also used for customer bids. This is broader information collection and input. All customer requests are from very basic company/plant contact information to very detailed information as stated above. Artwork and Packaging Process – (See detailed Store Brands Process Guide) This person will have specific responsibilities within this process. Bids – Every bid uses a portal or customer driven system and has an initial setup and data collection process. Once that is complete a final bid entry is completed and entered. This person will work with internal cross-functional teams to collect this information, review with the supervisor and enter.

Requirements

  • Candidate will possess or be pursuing a BA or MBA
  • Ideal candidate will have the following traits: open-mindedness, capacity or understand/analyze data and make fact-based recommendations, creativity, productivity, strong organizational skills and ability to work independently as well as in teams.
  • Some practical experience through educational projects, prior internships, or professional experiences desired.
  • Strong analytical skills: need to be proficient in Excel and analysis in general.
  • Concern for accuracy- must be very detail oriented.
  • Open-minded, capacity to understand/analyze/ react.
  • Strong communication, organizational skills, teamwork ability: must be able to multi-task and coordinate activities between several departments.
  • Proactivity: proactive in tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Significant knowledge of current software systems including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel.
  • Interest in learning about all aspects of consumer-packaged goods marketing and product development.
