About The Position

Private Equity / Credit Valuation Specialist Principal Responsibilities Pricing and Valuation -- create and maintain valuation modes for private equities, structured credits, private credits and other illiquid investment products. Valuation methodologies include, but are not limited to, discount cash flow (DCF), market comparable, recovery analysis and also option-pricing model Portfolio Manager Interface -- be a point of contact for all relevant valuation queries from portfolio managers and equity capital market team. This role will work closely with PM and ECM to track portfolio company performance and collect financial data for valuation purposes 3rd Valuation Agent Interface – be a point of contact for certain external valuation reviewers inclusive of 3rd valuation agents and auditors. Participate in the valuation review process by providing explanations on qualitative and quantitative aspects of the valuation models Valuation Reporting – create detail level reporting packages highlight significant changes, profit-and-loss movement, key data points and conclusions. Ad-hoc projects – support PE valuation team and Middle Office team on relevant internal ad-hoc projects

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience
  • Strong portfolio valuation background with exposure to private equity, credit and structured products preferred.
  • Detail oriented; Demonstrates thoroughness and strong ownership of work
  • Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Very strong excel skills required; SQL and VBA are plus
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg and CapIQ also required
