About The Position

The Private Equity Client Relationship Manager serves as the primary relationship owner for institutional investors. This is not a sales role and not an operations role. It is a strategic, client-facing role focused on delivering accurate reporting, proactive communication, and operational excellence to sophisticated investors. This position sits at the intersection of finance, analytics, and relationship leadership. The Client Relationship Manager ensures clients receive timely, high-quality portfolio insights while driving internal coordination, problem resolution, and continuous process improvement. This role offers direct exposure to leading institutional investors, broad visibility across private markets asset classes, and the opportunity to build long-term capabilities in executive communication, critical thinking, and strategic relationship management. This is a full-time professional role requiring initiative, accountability, strong organization, and the ability to operate independently while collaborating across teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics or related field
  • 3–8 years of experience investment management, investment operations / technology, investor relations, or other financial services roles
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience communicating directly with clients or senior financial stakeholders

  • Experience working with institutional investors (LPs) and fund managers (GPs)
  • Exposure to multiple alternative asset classes
  • Demonstrated experience improving reporting processes or internal workflows

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary relationship owner and trusted point of contact for assigned institutional clients
  • Partner with clients to uncover opportunities to expand services and deepen engagement across the firm’s offerings
  • Translate complex financial and portfolio data into clear, strategic insight that informs client decision-making
  • Partner with leadership to help shape product development and drive strategic initiatives informed by client needs and market trends
  • Lead initiatives that improve workflows, enhance service delivery, and support operational scalability and firm growth
  • Proactively identify discrepancies, risks, or process gaps and lead resolution efforts before issues escalate
  • Coordinate with internal analytics, reporting, and operations teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness of deliverables
  • Escalate issues appropriately while maintaining client confidence and transparency
  • Manage ongoing client communication, including calls, meetings, and written correspondence
  • Manage multiple client priorities simultaneously with strong attention to detail
  • Support technical reporting enhancements and client-specific development initiatives
