About The Position

We are looking for a nursing team for a sweet one year old male in Osawatomie. He has a rare genetic disease that is documented in less than ten males worldwide! He lives at home with both parents and his siblings. He loves going outside and looking at the world around him. He does do therapies in the home such as PT and OT. The types of care he is needing are tube feedings and trach care. The family is wanting a nurse that is experienced with trachs. The family is extremely hands on and is just looking for consistent and experienced nurses! Hours available: Monday-Saturday 7pm-7am . These nights are available for immediate start! We are looking for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) passionate about home care! Unlike nursing homes, or hospital settings, a home care Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) requires the confidence and skills to medically take care of their patient on their own. BrightStar equips our Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) with the support they need to feel prepared to do so. BrightStar Care Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) typically provide patients with total cares. Cares may include but are not limited to: hygiene care, tube feedings, medication administration, neurological assessments, vital signs, trach care/suctioning, ventilator care, seizure management/safety and much more. Our Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) will partner with our Clinical Manager, Nurse Supervisor, the patient, family and Physician to achieve successful patient outcomes. Patient types include: pediatric, brain injury, spinal cord injury, adults with disabilities, and various other work comp injuries.

Requirements

A current Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) license in good standing (multistate preferred)
Current CPR Certification (BLS- Red Cross or American Heart Association) we offer a class at a reduced cost if you need your BLS
Negative TB skin test (within last year)
Adhere to HIPAA and maintain client confidentiality
Laptop or Tablet that can be used in patient's home for charting purposes
Proof of COVID Vaccination
Proof of Flu Vaccination, highly recommended to increase available client shifts
Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
