SUMMARY: The Private Client Strategic Account Executive is responsible for servicing, maximizing, and retaining a Private Client book of business. The job requires a high degree of independent discretion, autonomy, and decision-making based on prior industry knowledge and experience. This role will provide professional guidance, expertise, and service to clients. It requires building professional and collaborative relationships with carrier representatives, underwriters, business partners, and HUB colleagues. Their primary responsibility is account development and client retention – serving as the technical expert and broker-consultant to the client. The Strategic Account Executive supports organic growth goals by maintaining and expanding the business through account-rounding, cross-selling and development of new business opportunities.

Requirements

  • Relevant post-secondary degree in Business, Marketing or related field
  • P & C Producer License in required lines and states
  • Leadership experience and independent responsibility for client retention preferred.
  • 1-3 years of work experience as a servicer/customer service role in High Net Worth or Retail Sales experience preferred.
  • Strong organization, time management and prioritization.
  • Adept in handling competing demands and projects.
  • Effective communicator, both verbally and in writing.
  • The ability to tell a story, influence, demonstrate empathy and curiosity, and actively listen.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with computer systems, including but not limited to Microsoft Office and automated agency management systems (EPIC or equivalent)
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Proven success as a client-centric, detail-oriented, self-starter who follows through and follows up with clients.
  • Ability to travel as necessary

Responsibilities

  • Acquires an understanding of clients’ business and insurance objectives and leverages that information to identify risks and present solutions.
  • Critically analyzes and compares insurance plans and HUB services to uncover additional opportunities.
  • Assesses risk through collaborative investigation with the client to ensure no coverage gaps exist.
  • Developing new business opportunities from existing clients (referrals) and assigned (prospects) leads to meeting departmental production goals.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-sell and up-sell of other HUB products and services where appropriate.
  • Manages, organizes, and conducts client meetings in coordination with the Risk Advisor for assigned clients and independently service client accounts where no Risk Advisor is assigned
  • Develops and maintains professional and collaborative relationships with carrier representatives, underwriters, business partners, and HUB colleagues.
  • Leads resolution of escalated complex coverage and servicing issues between clients and insurance carriers that require policy interpretation and experience-based judgment to resolve.
  • Assists in the development and execution of client service agreements.
  • Suggests continuous improvements in workflows and procedures for sales and service.
  • Stays current on changes in the insurance industry and other external conditions that may impact clients.
  • Make appropriate recommendations to clients in response to those changes.
  • Supports, mentors, and trains Account Managers and Account Executives, as necessary.
