About the position

Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) offers a Summer Intern position designed as a 10-week program that includes daily assignments, interviews, learning components, and opportunities to assist the sales, placement, client servicing, and operations teams. Interns will start with assisting in preparations for an Annual Review Client Review meeting, take a course on insurance basics, and interview with Senior Placement Leaders to learn about their roles. This hybrid role requires four days a week in the local office, specifically in Las Vegas, with an anticipated start in May/June 2025.

Responsibilities

  • Follow the Intern Plan through to completion with guidance from the mentor.
  • Demonstrate a high level of intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn the business.
  • Be consistent and punctual with the submissions of work assignments to the mentor.
  • Complete weekly activity reports and other forms required as learning tools.
  • Relay and apply knowledge acquired in the academic setting to the company setting.
  • Participate in office, Insurance Carrier, and/or client meetings as requested.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with company colleagues, clients, and carriers.
  • Provide assistance to other colleagues and perform various administrative duties as needed.
  • Interact with high-level clientele and members of the organization in a positive professional manner.
  • Maintain accountability for actions and activities, both personally and professionally.

Requirements

  • Current Undergraduate Juniors/Rising Seniors with an expected graduation in May/June 2026.
  • Major in Risk Management, Business, or Finance preferred.
