The intern will learn about the workings of a regional commercial bank headquartered in Boston, reporting to the bank’s Private Banking group. The Private Bank group is responsible for relationship management of clients, which include business owners, executives, private equity firms, and nonprofit organizations. In addition, the group is responsible for driving new relationships into the bank, offering banking, lending, and wealth management solutions. The intern will lead a targeted outreach initiative to gather insights on what prospective clients value in a private banking relationship. He will assist the sales team and relationship management teams with various tasks. To succeed in this role, an intern should be comfortable in expanding his network.
