About The Position

In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in shaping the approach to data privacy and cybersecurity in a fast-evolving fintech landscape. As a member of a dedicated legal team, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop solutions that not only meet regulatory expectations but also drive innovative practices. Your expertise in privacy and data governance will help guide the organization towards a future of enhanced financial services, empowering individuals and companies alike. You will have the opportunity to lead educational initiatives internally and refine policies that ensure compliance amidst changing regulations. Accountabilities Advise on legal areas regarding privacy, cybersecurity, and AI governance. Provide solutions-oriented counsel on AI/ML, data privacy, and cybersecurity. Monitor developments in privacy, cybersecurity, and AI governance laws. Drive internal training on data protection and compliance obligations. Develop and refine cybersecurity and data privacy policies.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience as a practicing lawyer in privacy issues.
• Experience in providing solutions-focused legal advice.
• Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
• Deep knowledge of data privacy laws (e.g., GLBA, CCPA).
• Experience with governance reviews in privacy and AI.

• Experience in payments or credit reporting sectors.
