About The Position

Prison Industries Supervisors manage, plan, organize and supervise operation(s) of Prison Industries program(s) and ensure their profitable operation. Incumbents function as managers who train, supervise and evaluate the performance of subordinate supervisors; develop policies and procedures; and allocate staff and resources to accomplish goals and objectives. Northern Nevada Correctional Center is now hiring for the role of Prison Industries Supervisor 2 at the Silver State Industries Ranch at Stewart Conservation Camp in Carson City, NV. The Prison Industries Supervisor will be responsible for the supervision, planning, and organizing of ranch operations. The incumbent will be supervising the performance of inmates in livestock management, irrigation, farming and harvesting. Other responsibilities include acquisition of equipment, establishing work safety and security procedures, maintaining inventory, planning and designing new products and services, and maintaining accounting records and reports as well as developing contracts.
